ATTY. ROLLY FRANCIS C. PEORO I Partner
Atty. Peoro is a litigation lawyer, law professor, and the former Associate Dean of San Sebastian College of Law-Manila.
Atty. Peoro is a proud alumnus of University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies(SLIS), obtaining his Bachelor of Library and Information Science in the said institution in 2007. After his corporate stints with Coca-Cola and Globe Telecom, he pursued a Juris Doctor degree in San Sebastian College-Recoletos (SSC-R) College of Law as a working scholar. He finished his law degree in 2014 as its Class Valedictorian and recipient of the San Sebastian College-Recoletos Academic Medal of Excellence. He passed the Bar exams a year after and joined Diaz, Del Rosario and Associates, a highly-specialized law firm handling high profile criminal cases.
As a human rights defender, Atty. Peoro serves as counsel for the marginalized sectors in cases involving extrajudicial killings and agrarian law implementation. He serves as counsel for KAISAHAN, a non-government, non- profit organization pushing for social justice through genuine agrarian reform and rural development. He helped farmers in the rural side of Negros and Leyte in finally claiming their awarded lands. He is also a supervising lawyer in the Sebastinian Office of Legal Aid of the SSC-R College of Law.
As a law professor, he teaches Constitutional Law and Remedial Law at the San Sebastian College of Law. He handles Legal Research, Statutory Construction and Agrarian Law at De la Salle University College of Law. He is also a faculty member at U.P. SLIS teaching subjects under the law librarianship track .
Currently, Atty. Peoro handles litigation and dispute resolution and has been a part of several litigation teams which handled cases of former and current Senators, and former Secretaries of Justice, among others.
ATTY. MARIA SOL G. TAULE I Partner
Atty. Taule is one of the promising human rights lawyers in the Philippines. She focuses her legal practice on women empowerment, human rights, labor, and immigration laws. She has vast experience handling emblematic cases on public interest and human rights issues. Although she represents a varied client base on all legal platforms, she specializes in appearing for novel and complex issues before the Regional Trial Courts, Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court.
Atty. Taule took up Public Administration and Governance at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP). She obtained her law degree from PUP Law and the Manila Law College. Atty. Taule is also a proud member of the National Union of Peoples’ Lawyers and Pi Sigma Delta. She also serves as the legal counsel of KARAPATAN Alliance Philippines Inc, a non-government organization working for the advancement, promotion and protection of human rights in the Philippines.
As part of her advocacies, Atty. Taule is actively involved in various systems of the United Nations.
In May 2022, she was among the human rights defenders to be selected to participate in the the program called “Ciutats Defensores dels Drets Humans” (Cities Defending Human Rights) held in Catalunya, Spain to speak about human rights in the Philippines.
In 2018, she was likewise selected by the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) to participate in its training called “Enhancing Women’s Access to Justice through UN mechanisms,” held in Geneva, Switzerland.
ATTY. ANNA LIZA B. MONES I Associate
Atty. Mones is a gender laws trainer and gender equality advocate, election lawyer and policy adviser . She currently serves as the legal staff and project coordinator for the Alternative Law Groups (ALG) and the cooperative secretary of the Kabuhayan Sa Ganap Na Kasarinlan Savings and Credit Cooperative (KCOOP).
She has vast experience as a public servant and is likewise involved with civil society organizations. Atty. Mones worked with government agencies such as the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Trade and Industry, and gender-focused programs and organizations.
She also served as the manager of Gender Justice Project on Improving the Availability of Reproductive Health Services in Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao of Oxfam Great Britain; and served as the legal staff and education program officer of the SENTRO NG ALTERNATIBONG LINGAP PANLIGAL (SALIGAN), handling advocacy and education programs on gender based violence (women), tenurial security of peasant and the urban poor, security of labor in the workplace, indigenous peoples’ rights and the environmental justice, to name a few.
Atty. Mones finished her law degree at the Manuel L. Quezon University and took up her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree at the University of the Philippines-Diliman, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Atty. Mones is a member of the University of the Philippines Palaris Confraternity and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Quezon City Chapter.
ATTY. GIAN MIKO L. ARABEJOI Associate
Atty. Arabejo is a human rights advocate focusing on accountability for victims of civil and political rights violations. He is currently a Project Coordinator in the Alternative Law Groups (ALG), a network of legal resource organizations that work with the poor and marginalized groups.
Previously, he worked as a legal editor in the Human Rights Victims Claims Board which grants compensation to human rights victims during the Marcos Sr. Administration. Currently, he works with local and international organizations, as well as embassies, to provide legal support to human rights advocates, and victims of extrajudicial killings, disinformation, and red-tagging.
Along with his human rights advocacies, Atty. Arabejo works as an Associate in Peoro Taule and Associates handling criminal law, intellectual property law, and corporate law.
Atty. Arabejo finished his law degree at the Ateneo Law School and took up his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy degree at the Ateneo de Manila University.
